SMS/iTV .. Almost

Interspot :: SMS/iTV Applications
So a couple of thoughts here, first, targetted ads on the internet work as I found this site by clicking on an ad. Second, I loathe flash sites. Third, SMS for text commenting on shows is pretty cool but not really that engaging unless there is a reason to do so other than see your name on TV .. How about some participation folks!

Last, I am going to implement this (well not this commercial system, rather my not so commercial system) into ITJ.

You would be surprised at the power of the "me on TV" phenomenon, predicted about two years ago by Monique van D¸sseldorp in her excellent newsletter. When we set up our channel based on a business model with premium SMS revenues as the main eartnings stream, we had high hopes of intelligent moderated chat, opnion polling and so forth. But all our viewers want is, in fact, to see their name on TV as they exchange fundamentally trivial chat messages. We have hard-core heavy users sending over 50 texts during a four-hour daypart! And that's from 02:00 to 06:00 hrs, our peak-time.
