<description>Is there such a format as DVD-video? Are DVD-R/-RW and DVD+R/+RW the same as DVD-video? I have a DVD combo the is suppose to create both DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW formats but I've read the specs on some DVD players and they say they are DVD-video compatible. I don't understand what DVD-video is.

I have created both -R and +R copies and tried to play it on one of my other DVD players and both didn't work even though the player id DVD-video. Please help.
